Instructions

Tapioca Pearls

Tapioca is a root starch derived from the cassava (a.k.a. Manioc, Yuca).  Our tapioca comes as small pearls, perfect for making tapioca pudding.

For tapioca pudding, soap 3 tablespoons of tapioca pearls in 2.75 cups of milk overnight.  Add 1/3 of a cup of sugar and one well-beaten egg.  Cook on medium-high heat, stirring constantly.  Tapioca is done when pearls become transparent.  Remove from heat and stir in one teaspoon of vanilla extract.
